REACH (Recruit, Engage, Align College Hires) is our college recruiting and development program for manufacturing engineers. Engineers at International Paper work at the heart of our business – managing people, processes, reliability and facility assets. More than a dedicated training program, REACH allows you to work in a value-adding role at a manufacturing facility while participating in a required core curriculum that builds technical and leadership competencies.

Engineers impact the design of new and efficient technologies, solve problems, enhance our products and develop process improvements. A strategic goal at International Paper is to continually strengthen our technical expertise and bench strength through networking, development opportunities and challenging work.

The REACH Experience

Who We Recruit

We look for students completing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Paper Science, Environmental Engineering, or Health and Safety, along with the following interests, competencies and qualifications:

Desire to work in a heavy manufacturing setting

Manufacturing internship and/or co-op experience preferred

Mobility and willingness to live and work mostly in rural southeastern/southern U.S.

Safety leadership focus

Demonstrated leadership capability

Highly motivated, results-driven individual who can perform well in a team setting

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8

Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
