North America

International Paper’s North America communities are supported by the International Paper Company Foundation, a U.S. not-for-profit entity. 

Since its inception in 1952, the IP Foundation has supported not-for-profit organizations in communities where IP has operating facilities. More than 215 North American facilities provide local grants with support of the IP Foundation, USA.

Europe, Middle East and Africa

International Paper’s IP-Kwidzyn Charity Foundation was established in Poland to strategically bring awareness to the region’s community needs and to encourage employee volunteerism. In addition, other philanthropic initiatives throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa are supported by International Paper facilities in those regions.

IP-Kwidzyn Charity Foundation was established in 1994 and raises its funds from voluntary donations from employees and an initial donation from the company. IP-Kwidzyn strives to improve health conditions and social welfare through the support of healthcare organizations. International Paper also works with company leadership in Russia to support philanthropic focus areas in this region. 

Asia

IP Asia has established strategic partnerships with local community organizations to support International Paper’s focus on literacy, employee involvement and health and human services. IP Asia has successfully established reading programs for children living in remote and impoverished areas of China. Additionally, IP Asia employees often commit their time to volunteering at children hospitals near International Paper's facilities.

South America

International Paper communities in South America are supported by Instituto International Paper (IIP) in Brazil.

Instituto International Paper (IIP) in Brazil was officially recognized as a Civil Society Civil Organization in the Public Interest (OSCIP) in 2009, responsi-ble for developing, coordinating and rolling out actions and programs re-lated to International Paper of Brazil’s corporate social responsibility.

IIP aims to mobilize, engage and commit the community, its partners and employees to participate in inno-vative social responsibility programs, to help strengthen environmental awareness in children and youth and sustainable development of the community where it operates.
